Ten Successes In The South East For The Queen’s Award For Voluntary Service (QAVS)

The winning groups for the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) was announced on 2nd June 2007. In total 71 groups have been awarded.

GOSE would like to congratulate the 10 groups who have been successful:

  • Arun Co-ordinated Community Transport 
  • Basics Hampshire
  • Crawley and Horsham Home-Start
  • Eastbourne and South Wealdon MS Society
  • Home-Start Banbury and Chipping Norton
  • Kintbury Volunteer Group
  • Sir Michael Sobell House
  • Swaything Neighbourhood Centre
  • The Archway Foundation
  • Volunteer Visiting Scheme

The Award recognises the vital role played by the hundreds of thousands of ‘unsung heroes’ of the voluntary and community world and emphasises the importance of continuing recognition of their work.
